Egyptian Group for Multipurpose Terminals (EGMPT) is the commercial arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation, dedicated to managing, building, and operating multipurpose terminals across Egypt.

Our first flagship project is Tahia Misr Terminal (TMT), located at Alexandria Port and officially inaugurated in June 2023 by H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

TMT Operated and managed by EGMPT and CMA Terminals through a joint partnership and equipped with state-of-the-art quay cranes incorporating advanced international technologies, These cranes allow efficient handling of ultra-large vessels, enabling Alexandria Port to accommodate next-generation ships with highest capacity and drafts of 17.5 meters.

To strengthen integration, TMT is connected to Egypt’s Mediterranean and dry ports via the national railway network, ensuring seamless operations along the logistics corridor (Alexandria / 6th of October / Sokhna), This connectivity is supported by our second strategic project — the Railway Container Station (RCS) — located directly behind Berth 33 at Alexandria Port.

We are looking forward to launching a new project in the Northwest of Egypt – Gargoub, located near our borders with Libya.
