Damietta Alliance Container Terminals (DACT) is a container handling facility located at Damietta Port, Egypt. The terminal is designed to handle up to 2 million containers (3.3 million TEUs) annually, enabling efficient operations for ultra-large container vessels up to 400 meters.
Spanning 93 hectares, the terminal includes extensive infrastructure: 1670m of berth quay length with 18,0 m water depth; a main terminal area, a pre-gate complex, and administrative offices.
Equipped with 12 fully electric Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes (25 rows, 57.5 meters under spreader, and a 30.48-meter span), 40 Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes Hybrid powertrain fully electrical by busbar or diesel generator with 41-ton lifting capacity, 16 spreaders, 12 lashing cages, 8 Out-of-Gauge (OOG) frames, Six train lanes, starting with two, and ample space for handling transshipment cargo operations, Damietta Alliance is engineered for both sustainability and operational excellence.
The Joint Venture “Damietta Alliance Container Terminals consists of three core shareholders, Hapag-Lloyd GmbH, Eurogate GmbH and Contship Srl, two other partners, Ship & C.R.E.W. Egypt S.A.E, and Middle East Logistics & Consultants Group.
